When Calvin Coolidge became president there was huge distrust in the White House because of the Tea Pot Dome scandal that occurred while Harding was in office. He also had to deal with the economic problem that was happening to Americans because of credit and spending money that they did not have.

I definitely agree with Cimone. He faced a lot of problems and distrust. People were going into debt, and people were definitely were against him.
