I think that Scout was chosen as the narrator because many books are taken from a grown up male point of view. The author wanted to show us what the book it would be like if it was from a girls point of view.

I think the the author was very clever to choose Scout to the the narrator in To Kill a Mockingbird, because it would draw readers in since they are not used to a young or a girl narrator but especially not a young girl narrator. I think that Scout can show much more than Jem one such thing is how Jim is changing as he gets older. I think the authors choice to make Jean Louise Finch the narrator was a great choice.

One thing that Scout says that Jem couldn't say is the she doesn't like the maid. Scout thinks that she is very mean and a tyrant, but Jem likes her and always agrees.

I believe that scout is the narrator for many reasons. First of all he is the only female main charecter. This can give us a diffrent point of view. She is a tom boy but still has female traits.Second of all, she is brighter than most boy so this might help to tell the story.
